The Spring Leadership Conference 2026, a partnership between MassCUE and MSAA, brings together K–12 curriculum leaders and administrators for a forward-looking conversation on assessment in an AI-influenced world.

Centered on the theme Assessing Wonder—Inspiring Leaders, the conference invites district teams to consider how assessment can honor student growth, cultivate curiosity, and inspire meaningful learning during a time of rapid change in education.

Guided by keynote speakers Starr Sackstein and Beth Holland, nationally recognized leaders in assessment and learning innovation, participants will explore the leadership moves that support more authentic and human-centered assessment practices.

As Massachusetts advances graduation requirements emphasizing portfolios and performance-based learning, districts are at a pivotal moment. This one-day conference focuses on the practical implications of those shifts, examining how authentic assessment can deepen learning and better reflect real-world skills while maintaining rigor and integrity.
